The Proteus 3m Square Pergola - Pebble is a suitable garden furniture for adding a stylish, covered area to your outdoor space.
Made from aluminium leg poles and horizontal framework as well as galvanised steel louvres, this stunning aluminium pergola is ideal for long-term use. The design is UV protected and therefore resistant to fading and other damage typically caused by heat, plus it protects you and your family from harmful UV rays as well as corrosion resistant. This pebble colour is a light grey with beige undertones. It could be ideal to compliment wooden or rattan garden furniture.
This pergola could be a great way to compliment your garden furniture. Thanks to the tilting louvred side walls, you can switch between a closed, sheltered space and an open top that allows sunlight to flood in. This means that you can use your garden furniture even when the weather is less than perfect. This pergola ultimately allows you to choose between sitting in sunshine or shade and provides shelter should it start to rain at a moment's notice—typical of British weather!
There is a brilliant built-in drainage system that prevents you from having to open the louvered roof to let water drain. Any rainwater that lands on the louvres flows into U-shaped channels. From here, the water flows from the roof and into channels in the pergola framework. Once in the horizontal framework, the rainwater will then flow into the inside of the hollow pergola legs and vertically down to the ground. This genius system means that you'll never see the water draining off of the pergola. If you were to open the louvers when wet, the U-shaped channels would prevent rainwater from dripping under the sheltered area and getting your garden furniture wet. What's more, you can even make your space warmer with our pergola heaters.
Our weather-ready pergolas offers a sheltered option for you and your rattan garden furniture to stay dry in rainy conditions. However, in heavy downpours, there's always a chance your pergola may leak. Just as you would with your house, we ask you to check the pergola gutters are free of debris to keep your garden furniture in good condition.
This pergola will require assembly and we recommend 2-3 people are required to safely lift and assemble the pergola. The build time is approx 2 hours and should be positioned on a solid and hard surface, like concrete bases. In order for the drainage system to do its job, the pergola should be secured to a patio that has a gradual decline. Most patios would naturally have this for rainwater to flow away from the house. Please ensure the pergola legs are securely bolted to the floor using the holes within each leg base plate and secured using the expansion bolts, which are supplied as standard. Feel confident that you can get strong and sturdy garden furniture.
